Full Moon in Virgo

Full Moon in Virgo

by Tiffany Harelik, MA, RYT

The Virgo Full Moon invites us to Drop the Rocks – Do you want to?

This is our “9 of Wands” moment to drop the rocks of resentment, guilt, bad behaviors/attitudes and change routines. It starts with self-examination, and then a choice to act “as if” the change you desire has already taken place. The Virgo Full Moon is a house-cleaning of the heart—are you ready?

Virgo rules the 6th house of healing, health, routine, details, and rituals.
What glitches in my character and in my routine am I ready to drop—completely?

Self-examination requires honesty, ritual, prayer, meditation, healthy choices, and cleansing. Often we can’t see our own rainbow-of-gifts above our head. When we tilt our head up to look at it, the rainbow mysteriously moves back—we can’t see it! We can’t see our own rainbow, and we can’t see our own $hit either. Fortunately someone else can see our rainbow. The work of self-examination is best done with an accountability buddy.

An Awareness Shift

I can’t think my way into “right action.”
I *can* act my way into “right thinking.”
I don’t have to do the next thing “right.”
I can choose to do the next “right thing.”

Starting new habits and routines can be exciting and feel healthy, but there can also be massive grief. Why would starting to take care of myself create so much grief? What am I afraid of losing? Who am I afraid of trusting? Is there a conflict between my old not-self, and the true-self I want to be? [Find more about the mechanics of your true-self through Human Design]

Do I value and respect myself and others so much that I’m willing to make changes now instead of when it’s too late? The Virgo Full Moon helps separate the winners from the losers. “The winners actively seek and practice a new way of living. A new way of being. A new way of thinking. A new way of behaving. A new way of relating. The losers wait until they are in so much pain that the choice becomes obvious, and then they choose to participate only enough to get the pain to stop.”

It’s the small things that shift the big things. With Virgo—it’s all about details.

  • Do you want to erase that negative text/thought/action. Replace it something with more positive and authentic that comes from your highest self—the best version of you?

  • Do you want to go forward with a new health routine, one minute at a time, or one meal at a time? Just put on the yoga pants. Just drive to the gym. Just get there. Then do it one minute at a time. Just buy the healthy ingredients. Just get the materials out to prep. Then create something right-sized and delicious according to your digestion style—one minute at a time.
