Every life has a purpose that can be found in the language of the stars. The map of the sky at the time of your birth shows where the planets were. What signs they are in and how they aspect each other tells us more about the life you are meant to live. You’re likely living it out without even knowing the specifics – congratulations! You don’t need an astrologer :).
However, if you’re stuck in a loop – astrology can certainly help. Here are four points in your chart to consider when you’re trying to uplevel or get out of an old cycle:
South Node
This point represents lessons carried with you from a past lifetime. It’s easy. It’s what comes naturally. It’s a familiar comfort zone. It’s actually what your unconscious self is running towards – because it’s the easiest thing to do. It’s what happens if nothing changes. Your conscious self knows staying in the South Node themes of your life is lazy. It’s safe. Your conscious self is feeling stuck and wanting more because it’s spending too much time hanging out in your South Node zone of comfort.
Themes from your South Node represent areas that you’re really good at, deja vu moments, and a feeling of having done ‘this’ before. It’s where you’re a natural expert. You can stay here, there’s nothing wrong with that. Another option is to reach towards the North Node themes in your chart.
North Node
There’s a certain pressure to find out what provides purpose and meaning for your life and the North Node can help. This point represents places where you’re challenged to go, and it’s that very place that deep down you know you need to find.
You actually feel more alive when you’re fulfilling your North Node themes. Similar to the Midheaven, the North Node shows us the style of which our purpose is fulfilled. It gives the flavor, the tone, the manner – but not the specifics. It’s a stretch, it’s a reach – the lazy part of our mind doesn’t want to work to find it. You will likely hit obstacles on the quest of finding your north node themes that make you question your path or want to quit. But there are miracles on this path if you keep going, one day at a time.
