18 Jul Saturn and Neptune in Aries
by Tiffany Harelik, MA, RYT
In 2025, both Saturn and Neptune will enter Aries, marking a significant shift in the astrology forecast.
In this article, Aries, Saturn, Neptune, and their dualities are reviewed through the lens of medical astrology, history, and predictive themes. Moving from a water sign (emotion) to a fire sign (energy) is a big contrast.
This astrological time marks a period when the dismantling of current structures/systems will occur and new approaches to managing society will emerge. Decentralization is a major theme. We can also expect advancements in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, spiritual organizations, and rugged individualism. People will increasingly explore spiritual practices and lean on their faith, while organized religion dissolves and evolves. There’s a risk of being misled into thinking we are free and autonomous, while in reality, surveillance (AI, or “Big Brother”) becomes even more intrusive. Additionally, the concept of the “real” person might blur, as technology advances to create virtual representations.
Aries Weather
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It is ruled by Mars, the God of war. It rules the first house of your natal chart which represents your reputation, and how people see you – not the real you, but the armor, mask, and clothing you wear in the real world. For example: I’m a Scorpio through and through – but with Sagittarius rising people often view me as the life of the party and don’t immediately see my Scorpio side.
Aries themes include self-discovery, pioneering, trailblazing, new beginnings, right action, mindset, quick thinking, fierceness, the spice of life, action, inspiration, energy, sportiness, physical strength, competitiveness, striving for excellence, spontaneous, bold, authentic, eager, following first instincts, self-sufficiency. Challenging themes to disengage from include self-centered, bratty, being overly assertive, and firing off words during a hot temper moment.
Moving from the last sign of the zodiac (Pisces) to the first (Aries) is a big jump for Neptune and Saturn. The pace of life changes.
Medical Astrology
Vibrant Health: Aries is associated with the head, face, suprarenals (adrenal gland), acne, the scalp, and the eyes. There will be a special focus on supporting/healing/advancing technology in these areas while Neptune moves through Aries. Craniosacral therapy, vision check, gut/brain axis to support clear thinking, meditation to clear the mind, colored lens eyewear to support.
Rosemary is a corresponding solar herb for Aries – just be mindful of adding heat to a hot sign. Stay hydrated and let extra air elements like wind chimes/bells or cooling herbs like mint balance out any excess heat.
Flower Essence for Aries season: Rock Rose Vervain helps integrate enthusiasm, passion, and idealism with relaxation. It supports the Sun in Aries’ energizing frequency, while calming overzealous tendencies. Folk name: Juno’s tears. Juno was the wife of Jupiter, and patron goddess of love, marriage, fertility, childbirth, and families. Flower essences are energetic remedies that deliver a flower’s healing frequency to us. Statements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
Two resources: Calley and Casey Means – siblings who are advocates for health and policy change. They have several podcast episodes and a book. Kris Newby – wrote the book, Bitten: The Secret History of Lyme Disease and Biological Weapons
Neptune in Aries (begins March 2025)
Neptune spends 12-14 years in each sign of the zodiac, and takes 165 years to make it all the way around the wheel. Neptune has been in Pisces since 2011. It is the modern ruler of Pisces (the traditional ruler is Jupiter), and is considered a comfortable placement. Neptune’s shift into Aries is a big jump. It will be in Aries 2025-2039.
This combination brings a surge in creative inspiration and a desire to express spiritual ideals through individual action. People may become more passionate about causes, personal visions, and the pursuit of higher ideals.
However, Neptune’s tendency to blur boundaries may lead to confusion or misguided efforts in some areas, particularly where idealism clashes with the practical, direct nature of Aries. This transit can encourage a new wave of spiritual leaders, artistic visionaries, and pioneers in creativity, though it’s important to be wary of chasing unrealistic dreams without considering their practicality.

“As we saw last time, Neptune was in Aries in 60 – 73 CE at the same time as Pluto in Aquarius when Boudicca and her Iceni tribe revolted against the Romans in Britain. Over in Rome, Christianity was spreading fast, despite persecution, and even after Nero accused them of starting the Great Fire of Rome in 64 CE. There was more chaos and civil war in 68 after Nero committed suicide and they had four emperors in one year. In Palestine there was a Jewish uprising against the Romans in 66, and Josephus wrote his history of the Jewish War which became a major source on Jesus.” – Jessica Davidson
Saturn in Aries (begins May 2025)
Balancing enthusiasm with Endurance
Saturn spends three years in each sign. It has been in Pisces since 2023. Saturn represents the dictation of boundaries. This includes political party lines, national borders, where you stand on issues and your personal boundaries. Saturn is the wall. Saturn is serious. It represents duties we cannot escape. It’s big business, authorities, officials, and the government.
Aries is impulsive, and Saturn’s serious nature creates tension between a desire for immediate results and the need for patience and careful planning.
People will feel driven to tackle personal goals with greater focus and determination, but they might also face challenges in balancing enthusiasm with endurance. Saturn in Aries creates an emphasis on taking responsibility for our lives, and building new foundations in a proactive way.
